Welp, Sony beat Ubisoft to it with Ghost of Tsushima and Rise of the Ronin, but hopefully this is good. Are you hyped for the next Assassins Creed, SW?

And it will outsell Ghost and Rise of the Flop combined.😂

I'd rather give Tsushima or Ronin a try for a Japanese fix and if I wanted to try an AC game I would pick up mirage b/c the setting is more appealing to me.

My hype level is 0.

Not excited at all! Ghost of Tsushima did 4 years ago better and Ubisoft is so late taking AC to Japan, I lost all hope for this.

Hope it plays kinda like shinobido (on PS2) where players need to balance factions and have good base building. Japan warring period should allow for such but anyhow definitely interested. Will definitely will purchase the Ass Creed Mirage/red deluxe combo on massive discount and never play it like almost every other ubisoft game I bought.

As someone who plays AC I was starting to tire on the games because they were so big.

However the last release in Mirage was a smaller tighter experience that was about 25hrs long and was a good game.

The only issue was the combat wasn't as good as Valhalla.

So if they can keep it to around 30hrs with tighter combat than Mirage I will buy it.

I wonder what period of Japanese history will this Assassin's Creed game take place. The Warring States period involving the first European contact? The time period before the collapse of the last shogunate in 1867?

The time period where the Mongols failed to invade Japan in the 13th century has already been covered with Ghost of Tsushima.

This is the only UBI game I've been looking forward to in recent years. I hope they get it right.

I read a rumor that the main character may be modeled after “Yasuke”, a black samurai from the US who actually existed in history. If the rumor is true, it could be the late 16th century Sengoku period when he was in Japan.

Is it even going to be any good since they no longer drag in other Ubisoft studios to do their world building and greater content creation for them?

Ubisoft's Singapore studio did most that work for years and years and years before they stopped assisting those hosers.

I've wanted a Japanese AC game for over a decade and now that it's finally on the way I know they're just going to biff it.

The last year's asscreed had ultra dogwater visuals from 2014. Wonder if this one is even lazier or not. The last asscreed this company even tried pushing forward was Unity, and that was like 10 years ago.

On the MS front, studios fail, and get closed down by MS. What i want to happen is for Ubi to release multiple failures (just like they've been doing multiple years straight) and close themselves🥱

You know that company has no respect whatsoever when they've been ignoring Rayman like they don't own the IP.
